2020 APPLICATION FORM
Dear Applicant,
We are pleased that you have chosen to apply for the Sisters United in Human Service, Inc. Ummah Investment Scholarship, an opportunity for an aspiring student to be acknowledged and rewarded for his or her academic and community service achievements.
■ The Award
Sisters United in Human Service, Inc. awards scholarships to be paid to the student solely for
the purpose of his/her educational pursuits.
■ Eligibility
The applicant must meet all of the following criteria:
• The student is a college-bound high school senior or has been enrolled in a college at the time of application.
• The student will be or has been enrolled in either a two- or four-year accredited
educational institution.
• The student agrees to use any scholarship funds awarded by January 31, 2021.
*■ Application Process
To apply, eligible members must complete the attached scholarship application form.
Applicants should type or print clearly and use only the space provided on the form to answer
the questions. Other than specified below, no attachments, resumes, pictures or other material
of any kind should be submitted or used to answer the questions.The completed application must include the following and be submitted by the deadline, Friday, April 17, 2020

The application, transcripts, acceptance letter or enrolled confirmation and recommendations must be submitted to Sisters United, Inc. by April 17, 2020. If any portion is missing, the application will not be considered. .
■ Selection Process
Judging will be based on both subjective criteria and weighted, objective criteria. These
include achievements, extracurricular and community activities, recommendations, etc.
■ Application Deadline
Applications must be returned to Sisters United, Inc. no later than April 17, 2020.
*Only U.S. residents are eligible to apply.

- a high school transcript documenting studentʼs GPA for grades 9–11;
- an SAT/PSAT/ACT transcript (obtained through the high school guidance office); and
- four typed essay recommendations; and
- an acceptance letter or enrolled confirmation from the educational institution
