To provide warm weather essentials to unhoused individuals, seniors, and children, ensuring they stay safe, warm, and protected during the winter months.
Spreading Warmth:
The Khayriyyah Faiz Al-Maun Warm & Cozy Drive
Each December, Sisters United hosts the Khayriyyah Faiz Al-Maun Warm & Cozy Drive, a service project honoring the legacy of our founders and President Emeritus, Khayriyyah Faiz. This initiative continues her commitment to compassion and community service by providing warm weather essentials to homeless individuals, seniors, and children during the winter months.

Our annual goal is to serve 150-200 unhoused individuals and 75 seniors, ensuring they receive the warmth and care they need. Through community support, donations, and volunteer efforts, we strive to make a lasting impact and carry forward Khayriyyah’s spirit of giving.
Honoring the Legacy of Khayriyyah Hanan Faiz
The K. Faiz Al Ma’un Warm & Cozy Drive is named in honor of Hajja Khayriyyah Hanan Faiz, former President of Sisters United in Human Service and a lifelong servant of humanity whose work embodied compassion, dignity, and unwavering commitment to community care.
For decades, Sister Faiz devoted her life to serving others — as a social worker, educator, counselor, leader, and mentor — always guided by faith and the belief that service to those in need is service to God. Her leadership within Sisters United and across Metro Atlanta reflected the Qur’anic principle of Al Ma’un: caring for those in need with sincerity, humility, and love.

Volunteering and donating to this drive is more than meeting an immediate need — it is a continuation of Sister Faiz’s legacy. Each care package assembled, each act of kindness offered, honors her lifelong example of showing up for others with excellence and mercy.
When we give through this effort, we are not only providing warmth — we are affirming dignity, strengthening community, and carrying forward a legacy of service for the pleasure of Allah.
